The Bat Whispers (1930)
1930 murder mystery, suspense and comedy based on a stage play by Mary Roberts Rinehart and Avery Hopwood. One of the first movies with sound. Comic-book creator Bob Kane said in his 1989 autobiography “Batman and Me” that the villain of The Bat was an inspiration for his character Batman.
